Aheloy FAQ · Seasons

What is the best month to visit Aheloy, Bulgaria?

June and September offer the best balance for most visitors to Aheloy. June brings warm air temperatures of 22 to 28 degrees Celsius, a sea that reaches 20 to 23 degrees by mid-month, and prices 20 to 40 percent below the July and August peak. Beaches are uncrowded, Midia Grand Resort is fully operational, and the surrounding area is green and fresh. September keeps the Black Sea at 22 to 24 degrees, which is swimmable and warm, while air temperatures average 20 to 25 degrees with around 7 to 8 sunshine hours per day. Prices drop back toward June levels, crowds thin noticeably, and the Pomorie Lake bird migration begins its autumn peak. July and August are the hottest and sunniest months, with air temperatures at 28 to 32 degrees and sea temperatures at 25 to 26 degrees, but they bring the highest prices, most visitors, and occasional jellyfish. May is warm but the sea is still cool, around 16 to 18 degrees, which limits swimming for most families. October is quieter and cheap but some properties start closing for winter. For couples and adults without school-age children, September is widely considered the best single month to visit Aheloy.
